Short willow cuttings :
Short willow cuttings are sent by Royal Mail First Class Post or with Hermes only to UK (excluding N. Ireland – sorry) addresses.
If you are ordering only short willow cuttings the postage and packing charge is £4.00.
Please note that there is a minimum order value of £14.00 for short cuttings.
Willow kits, long willow whips & ‘dead’ bundles :
If you are ordering living willow kits, whips or bundles, please note that, because of their length, they
must be sent by a specialist carrier (Tuffnells) – unless you would like to collect from the Nursery – so there is a
£19.00 charge per order towards packing and delivery to UK mainland addresses (excluding parts of the Scottish Highlands).
We can arrange delivery to the Scottish Highlands and Islands – however, the carriage charge will be higher.
Slightly higher charges also apply to the Isle of Wight.
Please get in touch if you would like to find out the cost of delivery to these locations.
PLEASE NOTE : There is a minimum order of 20 willow whips.
You are welcome to come and collect your order by appointment !
If you place an advance order before the cutting/delivery season for living willow
(which is generally late November to late February) :
Short willow cuttings orders will be sent at the start of the season – unless you ask that delivery be delayed.
Long willow whips,Kits & Bundles – we will get in touch with you when we start cutting to arrange delivery by carrier.
If you place an order during the cutting/delivery season we will assume that you are ready to plant**
Planting should be within a couple of weeks of delivery !
The willow will need to be unpacked and stored in a cool place (just outside in the shade is fine).
We aim to send out short cuttings orders within 3 working days.
Orders for long willow whips and kits, sent by carrier, are generally sent out twice a week.
We will advise you of the despatch date (and tracking information if sent by carrier).
If you would like to place an order early in the season to ensure availability
but you would like delivery delayed, please add a note to the order or send us an email.
Please be aware :
The specialist carrier we use (Tuffnells) will deliver the willow on their first visit.
If you are not in to sign for the delivery they will leave the parcel – please let us know
if you would like to specify where it is left ie in the car port/over the side gate etc.
Neither we nor the carrier can be held responsible for parcels that are left – please bear this in mind before you place your order.
** We will email you with the despatch date of long whips and kits – however, to save time,
please let us know if you would like delivery delayed at all or if there are any particular dates
during the delivery period that you would like us to especially avoid.
Whilst Tuffnells generally does deliver the day after orders are sent we, unfortunately are
not able to guarantee next day delivery, so please bear that in mind when planning delivery and planting.
Please let us have any directions or identifying features if they will help the
carrier to find your property more easily and, hopefully, avoid delays in delivery.
